Founded in 1926, the Mount Dora Art League (MDAL) is the oldest art league in Florida and has supported artists and the arts for a century.
Membership is available for an annual fee of $25. Membership dues help support the League’s monthly meetings, educational programming, and ongoing activities.
Membership meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the Downtown MDCA Gallery, located at 134 E. 5th Avenue, Mount Dora, FL. Each meeting typically includes an art program, artist demonstration, updates on upcoming exhibitions and events, and opportunities to connect with fellow artists.
Members also enjoy a variety of monthly activities, including:
- Figure Drawing with a live model
- Open Studio sessions
- Plein Air painting events
These activities are open to the public unless otherwise noted.
As a member, you’ll also have access to exclusive opportunities, including:
- Two member-only exhibitions each year, the Winter Show and Spring Show
- The opportunity to display artwork in the Downtown MDCA Gallery for a modest display fee
- Participation in the monthly Artist Reception, held the Second Friday of each month from 5:00–8:00 p.m., featuring live music, refreshments, and the opportunity to meet collectors, fellow artists, and the community.
Membership is valid from January 1 through December 31 of each calendar year.
